Five Nights at Freddy's Characters Arrive in Fortnite for Fortnitemares

After years of fan requests, the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise is finally crossing over into Fortnite. The collaboration arrives as part of this year's Fortnitemares event, the annual Halloween celebration that brings spooky content to the battle royale game.

The crossover introduces several iconic animatronics from the horror series as playable skins. Freddy Fazbear leads the lineup, bringing the haunted bear mascot to the island. Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy join him, giving players a full set of the original crew from the pizzeria. Each character keeps the worn, slightly unsettling look that made the series famous.

The skins will be available in the item shop for a limited time during the event. Players can expect individual purchases as well as bundle options that include matching back bling and pickaxes. Some versions may feature alternate styles, including a weathered appearance that mimics the animatronics after dark.

Fortnitemares has become a staple of the Fortnite calendar, previously featuring crossovers with other horror properties. The Five Nights at Freddy's addition marks one of the most requested collaborations in recent years, with fans campaigning for it since the game's early seasons.

The event runs through the Halloween season, so players have a few weeks to grab the skins before they leave the shop. Epic Games has not confirmed whether the characters will return in future rotations.
