A new board game adaptation is bringing the stealth and strategy of the Hitman video game series to the tabletop. The upcoming title, simply called Hitman: The Board Game, will pull directly from the World of Assassination trilogy, offering players a chance to step into the shoes of Agent 47 without a controller.
The base game includes four distinct locations and eight different targets, all lifted from the video games. What sets this adaptation apart is its modular design. Players will be able to mix and match these locations and targets to create a variety of unique scenarios. This means each play session can offer a different combination of environments and assassination objectives, aiming to replicate the sandbox feel of the digital source material.
While specific gameplay mechanics have not been fully detailed, the promise of replayability is a key selling point. The game is designed for one to four players, allowing for both solo planning and cooperative team efforts to eliminate targets. Fans of the series can expect to see familiar faces and settings, but the board game format will require a different kind of tactical thinking. With no official release date yet announced, the project is generating interest among both tabletop enthusiasts and fans of the stealth franchise.
