I Drank the Entire Cocktail Menu at The Wolf Among Us's Trip Trap Bar

Fabletown's seediest watering hole stepped out of the game and into the real world at San Diego Comic Con this year. The Trip Trap, the dive bar where Bigby Wolf does most of his brooding and investigating, was recreated for fans to walk through, and naturally, we decided to test the full cocktail menu. It was a tough job, but someone had to do it.

The bar was decked out with the same grimy neon and worn wood from the game, and the drinks were named after key characters and moments. We started with something called the "Faith" - a sweet, pink number that went down way too easy, which felt fitting given her tragic story. There was also a smoky, dark concoction named after the Woodsman, which had a strong kick of whiskey and a bitter herbal finish. The "Crane" was a cleaner, more refined mix, but it had a strange, lingering aftertaste that made us a little suspicious, just like the character himself.

The standout was the "Bloody Mary" variant, which they called the "Jersey Devil," served with a spicy rim and a piece of jerky as a garnish. It was aggressive, messy, and exactly what you would expect from a creature that hunts in the sewers. By the end, we were feeling a bit like Bigby after a long night of chasing leads, but it was worth it. The whole experience was a perfect tease for the upcoming release of The Wolf Among Us Remastered, which is set to launch soon. If the bar is this immersive, the updated game should be a treat for both new players and those returning to Fabletown.
