Wardogs WD-L018 Error Code Hits Players After Patch 0.1.2, But There’s a Fix

October 1, 2026 - 13:10

The latest patch for Wardogs has introduced an unexpected problem for the community. Bulkhead rolled out game update 0.1.2 as a small maintenance release meant to address several lingering issues while the player base waits for word on Season 2. Instead, a number of users began running into the WD-L018 error code shortly after installing the patch.

The error appears to strike without warning, often during matchmaking or right as a session loads. Players report being kicked back to the main menu, with some unable to reconnect for several minutes. Reports suggest the problem is not universal, which makes it harder to pin down. Some users on PC and console have logged the code repeatedly, while others have played for hours without seeing it at all.

A workaround has surfaced in the meantime. Affected players can try verifying their game files, clearing the local cache, and restarting their router before launching Wardogs again. Others have had success by switching regions or waiting a few minutes before requeuing. Bulkhead has not issued a formal statement on WD-L018, but the studio is reportedly aware of the reports.

For now, the community is advised to stay patient and keep an eye on official channels for a hotfix.
