Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, LLC, a merchandise agency based in Woodinville, Washington, has entered into a licensing agreement with Epic Games to produce official Fortnite-themed merchandise. The deal grants the company the ability to create apparel, accessories, and collectibles that blend the popular video game's characters and aesthetics with professional sports team branding.
Under the terms of the agreement, BDA will develop crossover products that feature Fortnite elements alongside logos and colors from major sports leagues. This means fans could soon see hoodies, hats, and other gear that combine, for example, an NFL team's insignia with Fortnite's signature cartoonish style or its iconic llama mascot.
The partnership aims to tap into the overlapping fan bases of competitive gaming and traditional sports. BDA has a long history of producing licensed goods for entertainment properties and sports organizations, making this a natural extension of their existing portfolio. The first wave of products is expected to hit retail shelves later this year, targeting both younger gamers and sports enthusiasts who enjoy the battle royale phenomenon. Financial terms of the licensing deal were not disclosed.
